Violin & Guitar
Elizabeth Cooney and Redmond O’Toole formed their unique duo of violin and 8-string
guitar in 2007 when they did an extensive tour in Ireland. The duo perform regularly in festivals
and concert seasons with programmes ranging from Bach to Rodrigo.
Considered among the elite Irish
musicians of their generation, both were selected as the annual National Concert Hall “Rising Star”,
Elizabeth in 2006 and Redmond in 2009. They bring a broad range of repertoire and performing
experience to the duo performances.
